Part time, all year round. 

25 hours a week, Afternoons - 2pm - 7pm, Monday - Friday

Kingsbury is an oversubscribed and popular school with specialist status, located close to the M42 and

M6, in easy reach of Birmingham, Staffordshire, South Derbyshire, Warwickshire and Leicestershire. 

Kingsbury’s premises have been heavily invested in recently with new roofs, boiler and further work planned through the new five year premises development plan. In September a replacement doors and windows programme is due to start. 

We are looking to appoint a Site Services Assistant (Assistant Caretaker). The site team look after all aspects of the maintenance, cleaning and caretaking tasks of this busy and successful school.  This role also includes responsibilities with regard to school lettings and security. We are looking for an enthusiastic, motivated and reliable individual, preferably someone with trade or caretaking experience to join our team.

You will need to have a proven range of site maintenance skills including general repairs, cleaning, painting and decorating.  Other skills such as plumbing, DIY, including carpentry, renovations and alterations would be advantageous.

Most importantly, you will have the will to go that extra mile to make a difference to the students at our school, the flexibility to be part of a great team and the communication and problem solving skills to resolve situations as they arise.

The hours of work will include the need for additional flexibility to undertake extra hours as necessary, during school holidays and occasional late nights and weekends. You will need a full driving licence and would need to be willing to use your own vehicle (with mileage allowance claimable).
