Site Services Officer 

Seva School is a non-selective all-through free school based on the core values of the Sikh faith. It caters for pupils from all backgrounds and faiths and those of no faith, and is extremely proud of the inclusive and egalitarian ethos that underpins all elements of the school.

Having undergone significant change in its recent leadership team, the school now wishes to make the following appointments as it continues to strengthen its immediate leadership capacity.

We seek to appoint a Site Services Officer to be responsible for the provision of an effective site service to support the school. This is a great opportunity to be a part of a growing and consistently developing school.

You will need to:

Demonstrate previous experience and ‘DIY skills’ in order to identify, monitor and carry out minor repairs, maintenance and redecoration.

Demonstrate knowledge of moving and handling procedures and be physically able to carry out the physical tasks of the role (e.g. lifting, shifting, clearing snow etc).

Demonstrate knowledge of Health & Safety and hygiene procedures and precautions. Plus awareness of COSH regulations, applying knowledge gained as appropriate.

Demonstrate good communication skills that allow effective communication with all levels of school staff, Trustees, pupils, contractors and outside users of the school (hirers).
