At our Academy we have a Nursery provision and classes from Reception to Year 6. We have extensive grounds and a range of facilities, from a large sports field and outdoor learning area, two all-weather playgrounds and a large self-contained library. At our Academy, we believe that it is important to extend learning outside the classroom as much as possible.

Our strength is in our sense of community, which is relayed in our mission statement “Building our love of learning together”. We see our diversity as one of our key strengths. Everyone who enters our academy (whether they be children, parents, staff and visitors) brings with them a unique experience and perspective and by allowing these experiences to be shared, we believe we are made stronger.

We want our academy to be a welcoming place for everyone – that’s why we’ve developed the Norwich Road Academy Young Interpreters group, which comprises of a selection of students dedicated to welcoming new arrivals into the school and supporting them during their induction period, as well as with ongoing social interactions around school.

Our relationship with the Norwich-Dedza partnership is another string to our bow in creating a diverse, inclusive community. We work with schools in Malawi, sharing experiences and resources, and our Year 2 children are working to raise money to fund a laptop at our partner school so that we can then arrange online meetings with them.
