SIXTH FORM HOUSEMISTRESS

We are looking to appoint a Housemistress to lead and inspire our Sixth Form House. The Housemistress leads and guides a team of dedicated staff who are responsible for the safeguarding and wellbeing of our boarders.  

The successful candidate will be energetic, flexible, possess a good sense of humour and have a passion for developing and inspiring young people. The role requires the ability to be fair, calm and to create positive relationships with young people and their parents and guardians. In addition, strong organisational and communication skills, attention to detail and team working are essential aspects of this role. 

The ideal candidate will have experience of working within boarding and a strong sense of what is required to create a boarding house that offers a secure home that encourages young women to reach their potential academically, emotionally and socially.  Working with the Sixth Form team to develop the Sixth Form day and boarding provision will be a important part of the role.

The ability to drive a minibus or the willingness to learn is would be advantageous. 

There is the opportunity for this to be a teaching or non-teaching position.
