Hours: Monday to Friday 8:45am until the end of the school day as required, but not exceeding 35 hours in any week
We are looking for a lively and dynamic Spanish Language Assistant to inspire the students and to contribute fully to the flourishing Modern Languages Department. The Spanish Assistant will primarily be involved in helping students aged 11 – 18 with their spoken Spanish. The successful applicant will be expected to contribute to the co-curricular life of the school.
The ideal candidate will have:
- Fluency in Spanish
- A sound knowledge of the grammar and structure of Spanish
- A degree in a language-related discipline or equivalent
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Experience in coaching or playing sports would be advantageous
- Knowledge of the UK examination system (GCSE/IGCSE, AS and A2) is desirable, but not essential
Basic pay will be between £722.80 - £959.20 per month for 10 months, depending on age. Average hourly pay will be £5.90 per hour (NMW 18 – 20yrs), £7.38 (NMW 21 – 24yrs) or £7.83 per hour (NLW 25yrs + above April 2017) from September 2018 to July 2019 inclusive.
