Special Education Teacher (2022-2023)

We are looking for a Special Education Teacher to join our team, who will work with children with a wide range of disabilities in close collaboration with the educational team, parents and other professionals, to promote the development of students' academic and social skills, through the conception of teaching plans according to students’ learning needs, search for activities and resources that can be easily adapted to each child’s educational requirements.

Requirements and skills:

• Proven experience as a Special Education Teacher (valid certificate)
• BSc in Special Education; MSc is a plus
• Experience working in international schools
• Good knowledge of current special education topics and methodologies
• A patient, resourceful, and resilient personality
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Initiative, Flexibility and Open-mindedness

Special Education Teacher responsibilities will include:

• Assess children’s skills and learning requirements
• Design Individualized Educational Plans (IEPs)
• Modify the curriculum to meet each student’s learning requirements
• Develop of and maintain appropriate student progress records
