Salary Range: School Teachers Pay Scale + SEN Allowance (£4,783)


The Governors and Chief Executive Officer are seeking to appoint a SENDCo to join our team at Central Schools Trust comprising of Balsall Common Primary School Academy and Damson Wood Infant School Academy.  With regard to this appointment, the successful candidate will be part of the team at Balsall Common.

Purpose of the role


To lead SEND practice in the school in order to


  • Raise standards of achievement of children with SEND
  • Increase staff confidence and competence in teaching children with SEND
  • Ensure that children with SEND have full opportunity to access the National Curriculum. 


Key Requirements


  • Qualified teacher with at least 4 years’ experience
  • Have primary school teaching experience
  • SENDCo experience or commitment to undertake SENDCo certificate
  • Experience of working with children with a wide range of SEN
  • Have experience of working successfully and co-operating as a member of a team
  • Have experience of leading a team
  • Have experience of training other teachers and/or introducing SEN initiatives
  • Have experience of working alongside other teachers in the development of teaching and learning
  • Evidence of CPD and commitment to further professional development
