Job overview

The SENDCo, with the support of the Senior Leadership Team and Governing Body, will take responsibility for the long-term strategic development, alongside leading the day to day running of the SEND department. They will provide structured and appropriate high quality learning opportunities for students in accordance with the College’s Mission Statement.

Hockerill Anglo-European College  has been consistently ranked in the top tier UK state comprehensive league tables post sixteen for a number of years and achieves high rankings for its GCSE results. Based on its GCSE and IB Diploma results, it was ranked in the top three Comprehensive schools in the country in the Sunday Times 2020 Schools Guide and it is also the most oversubscribed school in Hertfordshire.

The College is situated in Bishop’s Stortford within the beautiful landscaped grounds of a former teacher training college and is within 30 minutes of both London and Cambridge, with Stansted Airport just 10 minutes away. We have a roll of approximately 850 students, both day and boarding, including a Sixth Form of 250 students.
