Job overview

Red House School seeks to appoint an inspirational and dynamic classroom practitioner as Special Educational Needs Coordinator (SENCo) to lead and further develop the school’s provision for students with special educational needs. This is an exciting opportunity to join a school that is committed to providing a high-quality, inclusive education in a supportive and innovative environment.

Red House is a wonderful school, for boys and girls between 3 and 16 years, in the beautiful village of Norton on Teesside. It provides an excellent, inspirational, holistic education to 350 pupils. Results at GCSE are excellent, as is the pastoral care offered to our pupils. As a small, nurturing environment, we provide a strong sense of community, and our staff are passionate about offering a well-rounded education that supports all students in achieving their personal and academic goals. The school features excellent resources, including purpose-built facilities for both academic and extracurricular pursuits.

As SENCo, you will join a team that is supportive, collaborative, and committed to professional growth and development. You will be a key part of our team, shaping the school’s vision for inclusivity and ensuring that all pupils, regardless of need, have the opportunity to thrive.

The vacancy has arisen following the decision of the current incumbent, Mrs Eileen Auty, to retire after over 25 dedicated years at Red House at the end of the Summer Term.
