Special Educational Needs Coordinator

 TLR 1C - £8,291 

To start Easter 2022

We are seeking to appoint a dynamic, enthusiastic and committed SENCo able to lead our strong support team, work in close partnership with parents and carers, and liaise with a wide range of external professionals. This role will entail a diverse range of leading the delivery of learning and supporting others and will include oversight of our processes for supporting all pupils with a range of Special Educational Needs. 

We are seeking to appoint a colleague with a strategic vision, initiative, and enthusiasm to lead a team of staff in their work to support our most vulnerable students. Someone who is passionately committed to inclusive education, who can ensure all our students have access to the whole curriculum and have their individual needs met. The successful candidate will have a proven record of successful teaching at secondary level, experience of working with students in SEN and a sound knowledge and understanding of the key issues regarding assessment.  

Applications will be considered from qualified teachers from a range of curriculum backgrounds who can demonstrate successful leadership and management, whether in a pastoral or curriculum area and hold an appropriate specialist qualification in SEN.
