Special Educational Needs Teacher- Autism

Vision for Education are currently recruiting for a Special Educational Needs teacher to teach a class made up of Year 6, 7 and 8's at a special school in Leeds. All pupils have autism and are working to EYFS and KS1 levels. This will be a temporary to permanent post. The successful candidate will spend the first term on a supply contract and will then be made permanent at Christmas. School are looking to interview potential candidates over the summer holidays.

The successful candidate will have the following attributes:

· Must Hold QTS and must have successfully completed induction year.

· Have experience of working with pupils on the Autistic Spectrum.

· Be empathetic towards pupils with learning disabilities and challenging behaviour

· Be flexible with your teaching styles in order to adapt to each individual.

· Be confident working with both groups and 1:1.

· Liaise effectively with parents and colleagues. 

· Have an up to date Team Teach Qualification, or be willing to complete the relevant training.
