Vision for Education is seeking to appoint SEN Teacher / Special Educational Needs Teacher / SEN Secondary Teacher to join our successful team and to work in a SEN Setting within the Bristol area. 

The desired SEN Teacher / Special Educational Needs Teacher / SEN Secondary Teacher should have experience working with Secondary aged pupils with SEN. This is a very rewarding position where you will be working with a well-established and friendly team of staff, in bright and cheerful environment.

This is a purpose built and modern provision for Secondary aged children, who have social, emotional and mental health needs. You will be able to work closely with the classroom teacher to plan innovative and engaging lessons that will meet the needs of children with a variety of abilities.

Requirements

To be considered for the SEN Teacher / Special Educational Needs Teacher / SEN Secondary Teacher, the minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this position are:

• Hold Qualified Teacher Status – QTS or NQT 

• Experience working with children with special educational needs including but not exclusively ASD, ADD, ADHD, MLD, SEBD and SEMH  

• Experience working with children display challenging behaviour

• Have current/recent experience of Teaching in the UK or teaching the National Curriculum of England (within the last two years) 

• hold a current enhanced DBS certificate or be willing to undergo one through Vision for Education and have it registered on the Update Service
