About the role:  We are looking to recruit experienced and enthusiastic Learning Support Assistants to help support SEN schools across the Derbyshire area. This role is ideal for those who have a passion for helping children with learning difficulties.

You will be working on a supply basis for a number of schools that are partnered with ABC Teachers. There is availability for both full time and part time requirements to suit your needs and this would be a fantastic opportunity to gain valuable experience for those considering a career in teaching.

With a multitude of schools and nurseries requiring Teaching Assistants, we cover a range of SEN needs of which SLD, EBD and ASC are most common.

Being an SEN Learning Support Assistant is a rewarding career in which you can help children reach their full potential. In order to be considered you will need to have the following attributes.

We require you to:

Have a school based reference within the last 2 years

Possess Level 2 Teaching Assistant NVQ minimum 

Have Experience assisting children with SEN in either education or a care based role.

Show excellent communication skills

Ensure that every pupils needs are met and that you have the ability to adapt when needed

Have the ability to remain calm and patient in stressful situations

Experience in Personal Care would also be valuable to the roles, though not a requirement.

Candidates will be required to attend a face to face interview to register; we will need to gain two references either academic or professional and hold an enhanced Criminal Records Bureau disclosure (or be prepared to allow us to process one for you).
