Special Needs Support Assistant
We are working with special needs schools across Manchester who are looking to appoint a Special Needs Support Assistant to work with pupils with moderate, severe, and complex needs. This is a can be on a full-time or part-time basis dependant on your circumstances.
The role
The desired Special Needs Support Assistant will be able to meet the needs of pupils with barriers to learning, and associated needs including social, emotional and mental health issues. Successful experience of working with pupils with of this nature is desirable.
The school
The post of Special Needs Support Assistant will suit someone either looking to work in a special needs school environment, or someone with special school experience. The schools provide educational environments that are child centred, flexible and responsive to the complex needs of each pupil.
Requirements
Salary is dependent on experience, training or qualifications. The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for the Special Needs Support Assistant position are:
• Have a minimum of 6 weeks relevant experience
• Ideally Have experience supporting pupils with complex needs
• Have a passion for working with children with barriers to learning
