- At present, we are recruiting for staff in the Pontefract area to work in Special Needs Schools we work with. This particular role is for 5 days per week on an ongoing basis, with the potential to secure a contract, however we can also offer part time options.
- In school there is never a dull moment! Your work will be varied and no two days the same. If you are looking for regular, sociable hours- we can offer term time work in school close to home.
- Key attributes required include a calm demeanour, ability to work within different classes, and self confidence without being overbearing.
You will aim to encourage student’s independence, coping strategies and skills for life; be comfortable assisting students with Special Needs including mobility and physical development with feeding, changing, personal care, as well as classroom based tasks.
This is an important and responsible role . Support Staff are valued as an integral part of the school community.
Specialist skills we value include Makaton, sign language, team teach training, moving & handling , rebound therapy, first aid and peg feed training are also advantageous. VISION OFFER FREE CPD AND TRAINING
