Salary is dependant on experience, training or qualifications. The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this Special Needs Teaching Assistant position is at least 3 months relevant experience working in a school or care setting in the past few years. Vision need to be able to obtain recent references.

Vision for Education are a trusted partner of Special Educational Needs Schools, Alternative Provisions, Designated Provisions and PRUs across West Yorkshire. This Special Needs Teaching Assistant role is particularly for the Wakefield region.

The Work for this Special Needs Teaching Assistant role:

We work with SEND Schools in Wakefield as a first port of call for their temporary, permanent and cover needs for Special Needs Teaching Assistant (and many, many other geographical locations too). We can be flexible around candidates, but most vacancies are full time Monday to Friday 8:30 - 3:30 weekly starting from September 2020. We can also off ad hoc supply work if preferred.

We are looking for candidates to join us for this Special Needs Teaching Assistant role who have a background in any of the areas above, and ideally a supporting qualification in Health and Social Care, Early Childhood Studies, Supporting Teaching and Learning, Youth Work, Psychology, Sociology, Mental Health or a related qualification (but not essential). Experience is vital for this Special Needs Teaching Assistant role, as we need to obtain recent professional references.

We will need to be able to obtain at least 2 professional references relating to placements or roles described above in the past few years for this Special Needs Teaching Assistant role.
