We are currently looking for a Teaching Assistant for a Special Educational Needs School located in North Birmingham. This school caters for students with PMLD who are 3 to 19 years of age. This school ensures that all classes have a high staff to student ratio. You will be working with students on a 1:1 basis and with small groups, developing their understanding in a variety of subjects.
This role will begin in September and be on an ongoing basis until the end of the academic year. You will be working alongside the class teacher to provide all students the learning environment that they deserve. You will be supported by a network of staff that are experienced in working with SEN students and are dedicated to their role.
The ideal candidate –
· Level 3 TA qualification
· Deliver quality assistance to teacher(s) and pupil(s)
· Build rapport with the children
· In date DBS & on the Update Service
Candidates will be required to attend a face to face interview to register; we will need to gain two references either academic or professional and hold an enhanced Criminal Records Bureau disclosure (or be prepared to allow us to process one for you).
