Are you looking to take your skills working with Special Needs into a new direction where you can take on new challenges? If so then working as a Learning Support Assistant may be an excellent new career path for you.

ABC Teachers work with many Special Schools across Nottinghamshire, covering their supply requirements on a day to day and longer term basis. The schools are looking for excellent cover staff who are able to adapt to various classes and age groups, provide 1:1 support with different students and who are able to handle the difficult & challenging situations that can arise.

If you are already working with special needs children within a care role this could be an ideal opportunity to transition over to a new position.


What we require from applicants

Previous and ongoing experience working with children who have special needs, which we will require references from.

A level 2 qualification minimum

Be eligible to work within the UK

Have a passion for supporting children with Special Needs

Experience of personal care


Desirable

Ownership of a car

Team Teach certificate

Makaton / PECS training


In return for working with ABC Teachers we will provide:

1. Consultant exclusivity within your area, you will deal with the same consultant while working with ABC Teachers, who will be proactive in finding you work and maintaining contact.

2. Guaranteed minimum pay at a competitive rate.

3. A Referral based rewards scheme, which will provide a bonus to your pay for every teacher you refer who goes through to working with ABC Teachers.


Application Process

Candidates will be required to attend a face to face interview to register; we will need to gain two references either academic or professional and hold an enhanced Criminal Records Bureau disclosure (or be prepared to allow us to process one for you).
