Location:         The postholder will work across both The Link Primary and Secondary School, Beddington, CR0 4PG, CRO 4PD

Hours:      36 hours per week, Monday to Friday, Term Time Only

Contract:   Permanent & Fixed Term

The Link Primary and Secondary School formulates part of Orchard Hill College and Academy Trust providing non-residential, specialist teaching and therapy for up to 120 children aged 4-18 years whose primary need is Speech, Language and Communication. Many of the pupils are also on the autistic spectrum and have additional cognitive and sensory needs.

We are looking to recruit Special Support Assistants to join our specialist flagship school based annex and outreach service for young people with ASD and Pathological Demand avoidance.

You will need a genuine belief in person centred learning with an ability to build strong relationships of trust with young people with high level anxieties as well as an ability to engage young people through their motivations and interests. It would be an advantage to have interests and skills that can be used in learner individual programmes, for example, sports, Information Technology and gaming or creative hobbies.
