Our teams work with children and young people with a range of complex needs. This includes children in the early years, with autism and other communication difficulties, sensory and physical impairments and also those who require educational support for medical absence.

A key function of ISL SEND Specialist Advice and Support (SEND SAS) is to ensure that the educational and developmental progress of children and young people (0-25), with a range of SEND, is met in line with the Hertfordshire Special Educational Needs and Disability (SEND) Strategy and HCC strategic objectives.

We currently have an opportunity for two enthusiastic, teachers who hold qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with a minimum of 5 years teaching experience. You are invited to apply to join our team of specialist advisory teachers, working successfully throughout Hertfordshire to support children and young people, their families and educational setting. You will need to be flexible and have additional experience in working with young children with complex SEND.

The posts will involve delivering services through a range of opportunities with families, children, settings and professionals. You will be working in partnership with parents/carers, staff in educational settings and other professionals.
