Job overview

We’re looking to recruit a number of Specialist Learning Support Assistants for a variety of specialisms who will contribute to the delivery of appropriate non-teaching support in classroom situations and other college settings. You’ll work with students with specialist additional support needs on a 1:1 or group basis, in accordance with the overall learner support plans.

Alongside direct experience of working with people with learning difficulties and/or disabilities in an educational setting, you’ll be able to successfully motivate students and promote learning. In addition, you must have a flexible approach to working hours and a willingness to travel between our campuses.

What we are looking for:

  • Experience of working with people with learning difficulties and/or disabilities in an education setting
  • Enthusiasm and commitment to all tasks undertaken
  • A minimum of GCSE level A*-C in Maths and English, or equivalent (new grading 9-4)
  • Level 2 qualification/s relevant to specialist learner support
