New College Durham Academies Trust comprises of two large Academies, Consett Academy and North Durham Academy, located some six miles apart in North West Durham.  New College Durham, is our lead sponsor and both Academies are located in multi million-pound new builds, offering unrivalled state of the art facilities for our students and communities in Consett and Stanley.

The Trust is seeking to appoint a Specialist Teaching Assistant for the Personalised Learning Centre and Choices room at North Durham Academy.

Specialist Personalised Learning Centre Teaching Assistant

Grade 2 - £17,842 per annum (which reflects actual salary)

37 Hours per week Term Time plus 5 additional days

The successful applicant will provide support to students within the Personalised Learning Centre (PLC) and Choices room. You will be responsible for a caseload of students who are accessing the PLC during structured or unstructured time.

We require a high-quality Teaching Assistant who has a ‘no excuses’ attitude to achievement.  You should be compassionate and be able to deploy a wide range of interpersonal skills, together with strong behaviour management. It is essential you are able to work using your own initiative, under pressure to achieve quality work. You will be required to work flexibly according to the needs of the Academy.
