Rhyl is a forward thinking, inclusive and very successful community school with an exciting future ahead. We are school where staff and children thrive and are valued within a safe and highly stimulating school environment. Our children are truly exceptional and keen to learn. We have a creative and highly engaging curriculum with many awards for excellence in the arts, music, outdoor learning, sport and an exemplary school teaching garden.

Rhyl Community Primary School is a very happy school with genuinely fantastic staff and really lovely children. We are a two form entry primary school with a large Nursery across two school sites. We have a high number of children with wide ranging needs and are strongly committed to inclusion for everyone. We want our pupils to have the highest aspirations and the highest achievement possible. Our children are well-motivated, enthusiastic and eager to learn and they benefit from a broad, creative and enriched curriculum. We have developed an exciting crosscurricular and creative curriculum which provides meaningful learning experiences for all of our children.

This is a temporary post until August 2022. Following our expansion in September, we have an exceptionally high number of children with complex needs and SEND. We have a large and experienced Inclusion Team and work closely with outside professionals from Camden, who provide excellent support to our school. Due to the high numbers of children with SEND we are looking for a teacher who will support staff and children in the classroom under the direction of the Inclusion Leader and SENDCos. The role will be mainly based in the classrooms across the school to provide support, advice and modelling to ensure our provision is the best possible. This is a new post and you will be working alongside two SENDCos and a team of excellent and experienced support staff.

Our inclusion team is experienced and committed to providing the very best possible learning and outcomes for our most vulnerable children. The team is led by one of our Deputy Head Teachers. We have two SENDCos, one full time and one 2 days per week. They are supported by our pastoral care team including learning mentors, an art therapist and family support worker. You will receive high levels of support from the team and will also have CPD opportunities both in school and from Camden LA’s SEND support team.
