The Elms is a thriving independent school on the Nottinghamshire/Derbyshire Border and caters for children from birth to 11 years.

The Elms Junior School requires an experienced and highly motivated Teacher or Teaching Assistant to work to support a child with Dyslexia who is currently in Year 4. The successful candidate will be a flexible team member with excellent communication skills, who is caring and approachable with a passion to motivate and support the child to succeed. 

The ideal candidate will have experience providing support to individuals on a 1:1 basis, both within a classroom setting and as part of specific learning groups. They will have the appropriate knowledge to effectively adapt teachers' planning and carry out assessments. In addition, the ability to contribute to Individual Education Plans is vital. 

The successful candidate will be employed by the family directly and details of this will be discussed at interview. The hours are 8.30am – 12.00pm Monday to Friday, Term Time Only.
