Our successful Church of England School is looking for a passionate, committed Teacher with great enthusiasm and energy to join our new team who will work as part of a team to establish a brand new specialist provision for children with complex communication and interaction needs. The provision will have 12 transitional places for KS1 and KS2 children as well as providing outreach for primary schools in Kirklees.

Our school opened in April 2014 and has gone from strength to strength since that time. In November 2016 we were judged as ‘OUTSTANDING’ in a SIAMs inspection and in May 2017 as ‘good’ with outstanding Personal Development, Behaviour and Welfare. We pride ourselves on fostering a welcoming, supportive and nurturing learning environment where all members of the school community work hard to achieve their goals.

As a key professional for the specialist provision for communication and interaction needs, the post holder will develop and lead strategies which will impact upon the learning and inclusion of children with complex communication and interaction needs ensuring successful transition into mainstream schools. The successful candidates will also work in partnership with parents/carers and families in order to maximise outcomes for pupils.  It will also involve working with the SENCOs, class teachers and support staff in a range of mainstream schools. The post holder will be line managed by the Teacher in Charge of the specialist  provision at Windmill Church of England Primary School.

Our school is well placed for applicants from across West Yorkshire, we are situated very close to Junction 27 of the M62, close to Birstall retail park.
