We are looking for a qualified and inspirational specialist teacher to join the Individual Needs department from September 2021 (part time c. 2-3 days per week)

Claremont Fan Court School provides a friendly and supportive working environment in beautiful surroundings with small classes of well-motivated pupils. This opportunity would suit an individual who wishes to work as part of a small, committed and supportive team of specialist teachers and LSAs. 

This post involves teaching pupils with specific learning difficulties on an individual basis to support the development of literacy and study skills. Applicants should be educated to degree standard and hold a recognised SpLD teaching qualification (Level 7 preferred) and have experience of working with pupils at Years 7 to 11. Assessment work may be available for a suitably qualified candidate.

About Claremont Fan Court School

We are a co-educational School, for children from 2½ to 18 years, situated just outside Esher, Surrey. The School is set in the historic landscaped grounds of the Claremont Estate.

Claremont Fan Court School was founded on a Christian ethos and we welcome children from all faiths and from none. Our extensive co-curricular programme, offering over 60 co-curricular opportunities, enables every pupil to experience activities beyond the classroom in order to tap broader interests and extend talents.

The ISI Report January 2017 noted that: ‘Pupils show pride in their achievements in curricular and co-curricular activities . . . Parents and pupils agreed that these opportunities enhance pupil achievement’.
