City of Wolverhampton Council are seeking an SEN/D Specialist Teacher to join our Inclusion Support Service that comprises of Specialist Teachers, Educational Psychology, Counselling and Therapeutic Support, and Education and Family Engagement officers.
Specialist Teachers provide a service that is commissioned by schools and supports the early identification and intervention to help children with Special Educational Needs, and to promote inclusion. You will work with a group of schools to provide support through undertaking assessments, direct teaching, consultation with school staff and by delivering training.
We are looking to appoint a creative and innovative practitioner who:
- has experience in working with pupils with special educational needs and/or disabilities
- has relevant qualifications in relation to special educational needs; and
- is able to offer clear and effective advice about interventions and strategies to promote inclusion and improve attainment
