Required for September 2017: to work in the Sunnyside Communication Base with Deaf and Hearing Impaired pupils.

The Governing Body are seeking to appoint a suitably qualified Specialist Teaching Assistant. Sunnyside School is a large mainstream primary school with three support bases for children with a Deaf/Hearing Impairment, children with a Visual Impairment and children with moderate learning difficulties.

The school is committed to the philosophy of creating a genuine inclusive learning community. The successful applicant will work alongside Teachers of the Deaf within the base and integrate into mainstream classes as appropriate. BSL to level 2 and knowledge and experience of Deaf and Hearing Impaired children would be desirable.
