Quay View School is recruiting for a Speech and Language Therapist to join our Therapy team! We are looking for enthusiastic, caring, and passionate people to become an integral part of our therapy team. The successful candidate will join our multi-disciplinary team, which may suit someone experienced in a special needs environment or newly qualified, who will be required to work closely with other Speech and Language Therapists and other professionals providing support to students; reporting to the Therapy Manager.

We are seeking a suitably qualified and registered Speech and Language Therapist with a passionate and informed interest in Autism (ASC) and co conditions to join our team here in Devon, working across two schools and four residential homes. The successful applicant will assess, deliver and review therapeutic speech and language provision to our young people based at Quay View School. 

Devon Children's Services specialises in high quality residential and educational provisions for children between 7-18 who may have SEMH and /or Autism. The safeguarding and wellbeing of our young people who may have experienced challenges in their lives is always paramount; along with encouragement to achieve their full potential.

Devon Children's Services currently have two educational settings, Quay View School and Tor View School, and four Children's Homes in Tavistock, Gunnislake and Okehampton.

The successful candidate will be registered and will hold BSc Speech and Language Therapy or profession specific equivalent qualification, along with the following characteristics:

At Southern Peninsula Services, we offer bespoke placements for young people (boys and girls) aged 7 to 19 years who have complex needs including SEBD, ASD and other learning disabilities.

In liaison with the commissioning LA’s and parents, we are able to make clear decisions about the educational and care programmes that best meet the individual needs of the young person. Our programmes are also supported by on-site therapy services, where necessary.
