The Therapist will work across the Academy with both Primary and Secondary students. The Therapist will carry out assessments of students with speech and language difficulties leading to appropriate diagnosis and treatment plans. They will contribute to the planning of provision to meet the needs of children with speech and language difficulties/delay and will work as part of the staff team to deliver high-quality provision for students.

At Chobham Academy, we believe all students have the right to achieve their maximum academic and social potential and seek to promote this by providing equality of access and opportunity to all areas of the curriculum. The SEND department works to ensure students are taught in an environment where they receive equal respect and in which their individuality is valued. At the Academy, we believe that all students have learning differences rather than learning difficulties and it is our policy to identify and assess children’s learning needs effectively and ensure that learning is supported and personalised to ensure good progress is made by all students.

As part of Harris, you will join a community of staff dedicated to transforming education in London. With a multitude of progression routes and outstanding CPD for support staff, expect to be supported throughout your career whether in our central team or in one of our 47 academies. Join us in our mission to positively contribute to cultivating an exceptional learning environment for all our students.

In line with the Government’s announcement, our academy is closed until further notice. In place of academy interviews, alternative options will be offered so that no one is at a disadvantage, and applicants should expect telephone or virtual interviews, with the possibility of onsite academy interviews only in special cases. We want to reassure applicants that effective measures have been implemented to ensure their health and wellbeing whilst on academy premises.
