Heathermount is a non-maintained specialist school in Ascot owned by the Disabilities Trust. The school provides education for children and young people aged between 4-19 years who have a diagnosis of an Autism Spectrum Condition and associated disorders. The school has recently received a "Good" Ofsted inspection (Feb 2019) and has its Autism Accreditation mark. We are a forward looking and ambitious school.
We are looking to appoint a Speech and Language Therapist who is enthusiastic, keen to learn, innovative and would fit in well with an already well-established Speech and Language team.
Our team of education and therapy staff help to provide a high-quality educational experience for our young people and a professional and extensive CPD programme for all staff.
The SALT should have a HCPC recognised speech and language degree. The role includes assessment, diagnosis and management of children with complex speech, language and communication needs. It also includes working closely with families, peers and professionals across the education setting.
Alongside the lead SALTs, you will deliver therapy, train others and help to shape a developing service while enhancing your own clinical skills. You will contribute to service specific projects and have the opportunity to follow through your own ideas with the support of the experienced lead SALT.
Heathermount is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of its students. All positions are subject to receipt of a satisfactory Enhanced DBS check, Barred List check and references.
Visits and informal discussions are warmly welcomed and encouraged. Please contact Julie-Ann Stone on 01344 875101 or by email to admin@heathermount.co.uk.
