Position Overview:

We are seeking a passionate, enthusiastic, and dedicated Sport and PE Teacher to join our dynamic team at Mill Hill International School Thailand, a brand-new British international school located in Chiang Mai. The ideal candidate will inspire students, fostering a love for physical activity, and helping them develop the skills, fitness, and confidence needed to participate in sports and physical activities. The role involves teaching across Early Years, Key Stage 1, and Key Stage 2, with an emphasis on physical literacy and skill development, preparing students for their transition to Prep School sports disciplines.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assessment & Feedback: Assess students' progress in physical education, provide constructive feedback, and collaborate with other teaching staff to ensure academic progress.
  • Extracurricular Activities: Organize extracurricular activities such as sports clubs, inter-school competitions, and fitness events. This includes arranging competitive sporting activities both within the school and at inter-school levels, ensuring students have opportunities to compete and showcase their abilities.
  • Comprehensive Activities Programme: Work closely with the Deputy Head to develop and implement a comprehensive extracurricular activities programme that aligns with the school's vision and encourages participation across a wide range of sports and physical activities.
  • Health & Safety: Ensure that all health and safety guidelines are adhered to during lessons and sports activities.
  • Collaboration & Communication: Collaborate with colleagues, including teaching assistants, to deliver an effective PE curriculum and support student well-being. Maintain strong communication with parents regarding student progress and development.
  • Professional Development: Engage in continuous professional development to stay current with the latest teaching methods, strategies, and developments in physical education.
