Job overview

Sports Assistant

Notting Hill Prep is a popular co-ed school in the heart of Notting Hill with a staff of highly committed and passionate teachers.

With a growing Sports Department we are seeking to recruit an additional full-time graduate Sports Assistant/Coach. The role will suit someone considering a career in the profession although no formal teaching experience is required. Experience of playing or coaching at least one major team game (netball, hockey, rugby, football, cricket) is expected.

The position will involve taking on coaching roles within a varied extra-curricular programme, umpiring fixtures, supporting teachers within curriculum lessons and helping the department with administrative duties, as required. The ability to assist in coaching the school’s swim squad would be an advantage but is not essential.

Notting Hill Prep is an accredited ‘Thinking School’, a title which reflects its intelligent approach to education and its devotion to instilling in its children the values of resilience, creativity and responsibility, which it holds dear.  We teach children not merely to learn, but to learn how to learn.  The successful applicant will share the school’s aspirations.

Please click the ‘Apply’ button to submit your application form.

The closing date for completed applications is 4pm on Thursday 22nd June. Interviews will take place the week beginning Monday 26th June.

The school is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, and applicants must be willing to undergo child protection screening appropriate to the post, including checks with past employers and the DBS.
