Sports Assistant - Rugby (Accommodation provided)

Oswestry school are looking to recruit a sports graduate with a specialism in coaching rugby from September 2021. The position will involve playing a lead role in developing the rugby programme and driving rugby forward across all age groups from Bellan house through to Senior school. Particular emphasis will be placed on the delivery of coaching sessions during the schools games programme afternoons and there will be an expectation to arrange and take fixtures during the week and on Saturdays. The successful candidate will be expected to contribute significantly to the co-curricular clubs programme and will support the PE programme during the school day at the direction of the Director of Sport.  

This role would suit all levels of previous experience including those who aspire to become a PE teacher. The ability to coach a range of sports other than rugby and experience in strength and conditioning training would be advantageous.

This role also offers onsite accommodation, meals and involves being part of the boarding school team, which includes a range of duties within the boarding house.
