Due to a large expansion of facilities, we are currently seeking to employ a range of experienced personnel for posts within Jumeirah College, Dubai. These appointments are for September 2023 start.

The Post: Sports Coach (Basketball Specialism) 

Jumeirah College is seeking a dedicated, dynamic, well qualified, experienced and highly committed Coach with Basketball specialization, to help grow our fantastic boys games provision. The successful candidate will have the ability to extend, challenge and develop our most able performers, as well as possessing the qualities to inspire and nurture a love for sport in every pupil across the college.

As a Sports Coach, the post holder should be able to contribute to the wider school Enriched Curriculum programme by supporting one or more School sports. Coaches who are willing to commit whole heartedly to wider school life will be at a distinct advantage.

The role involves the following;

• Coaching and managing teams across all year groups

• Involvement in after school and weekend fixtures

• Developing links with the PE Department in our primary feeder school

• Contributing to the wider physical education curriculum

• Contributing fully to both the department and the wider school community

• Assisting in the teaching of PE lessons across all age groups

• Working collaboratively with colleagues as part of a professional team

• Attendance at Open Days and other meetings and events taking place outside school hours e.g. staff meetings and CPD
