Montgomery Primary Academy is a very special learning community. We are a 3 form entry primary with 585 pupils on roll and proud to serve the communities around central Birmingham. Over the last three years, significant investment in our building and commitment from our talented staff team has meant that attainment has risen and we are a securely ‘good’ school (Ofsted 2018).
We work closely with our primary partner Percy Shurmer Academy, and we share resources, staff and place an emphasis on effective and tailored professional development. We have a large, friendly and supportive staff and we work closely with a range of outside agencies.
We are looking for an enthusiastic, energetic and passionate Sports Coach who will plan, prepare and deliver a co-ordinated programme of lessons to include games, dance, gymnastics, athletics and a host of other activities.
You will be working with a range of year groups and have the opportunity to develop and enrich Academy sport through extra-curricular activities. A nurturing, caring attitude is essential as you will be required to inspire trust and confidence in all our students and will engage and motivate them to achieve their potential. An interest or specialism in gymnastics, athletics, netball and dance would be desirable.
We actively welcome applications from graduates with a sports background looking to put their skills and experience to use in a primary school environment.
Informal visits are welcome, please contact Mr B Craythorne on 0121 464 9115 or email HRofficer@montgomeryprimaryacademy.org
