Job overview

Cumnor House Sussex is one of the country’s leading independent Prep, Pre-Prep and Nursery schools, offering a broad and excellent education within beautiful country surroundings.

We have an exciting opportunity for a Sports Graduate to provide valuable support in the Prep school. This is a fixed-term residential position, predominantly focused on teaching and coaching sport. It will also include duties in the boarding house and involvement in wider life of our vibrant Prep School. This would suit a Sports Graduate who is considering a career as a Primary or Secondary PE teacher. Throughout the placement, the successful candidate will be based in the PE department and will work closely with the sports team to support the delivery of PE lessons, swimming provision, a games programme, school fixtures and after-school sports activities. A good knowledge of hockey and rugby would be desirable. The school will provide a salary plus weekly full-board accommodation during term time, as well as opportunities for professional development and training. The salary for this position is £17,000. If the candidate is local this could be considered flexible overnight boarding.
