Job overview
We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and experienced individual, preferably a qualified teacher, to join a growing and popular Sports curriculum area. The successful candidate will teach on a range of units on Level 1 - 5 programmes in Sports Studies. An ability to deliver a wide range of units in Sport Studies and Health and Fitness would be an advantage. There may also be opportunity for a suitably qualified and experienced teacher to take on a course leadership role. There will be regular opportunities to contribute too enrichment activities including College teams in a variety of sports, competitions and residential trips. Some experience of working in the sport or active leisure industries will be beneficial to this post.

Halesowen College, in the West Midlands, is a mixed further education institution. It accepts students from the age of 16 and has around 4,200 learners in attendance. The college offers courses of study in 11 subject areas and partners with three local higher education institutions.
Founded in 1966, Halesowen College regularly places in the top 10% of colleges for the examination performance of its students. The college offers a high level of support for students transitioning from school to higher education via its university centre, and via its long-standing partnerships with the University of Worcester and Newman University.
