About Star Teachers 

Star Teachers is an outstanding SCITT (Ofsted September 2019) delivering the provider-led and assessment only routes and post graduate teacher apprenticeships across the primary and secondary phases. Provision sits within Star Institute, the professional development arm of Star Academies’ Trust. As a consequence of exceptionally high quality provision within Star Teachers and across the wider Trust we are experiencing a significant increase in the numbers wishing to train with Star Teachers across the North West, West Midlands and North Yorkshire. In addition, the partnership has added a new 3-7 Primary programme to the training portfolio and is excited to be able offer QTS pathways for graduates, career changers and employees in this important age phase. Who we’re looking for

An outstanding graduate, teacher and leader who has a proven track record in developing teaching and learning to the highest standard. You will have a keen interest in challenging the status quo and seek to create and realise an unparalleled standard of initial teacher training. You will have the ability to implement a research- based approach to coaching and training which leads to rapid progress. As a highly effective communicator you will be able to develop strong partnerships across nursery and school provision. You are an expert in the 3-7 age range and will be excited to be afforded the opportunity to develop and grow a new programme.


You will have:

•A degree qualification or equivalent

• Several years of outstanding recent teaching and leadership experience within the 3-7 age range

•Experience within ITE

•Expert and current knowledge of the EYFS and KS1 curriculum

•Ability to prioritise work efficiently and accurately, particularly under pressure, to deadlines and using own initiative
