 Cover Supervisors needed in the Walsall area within secondary schools to start as soon as possible. 

ABC Teachers, part of TES are looking to recruit Cover Supervisors to work in a variety of schools within the Walsall area on a flexible supply basis. 

The role of a Cover Supervisor is to supervise pupils (in the absence of the regular teacher within the classroom/sports hall and ensure to carry out their regular lesson in a safe and suitable learning environment)

Types of people who will be considered for this role will be;

  •  NQT’S
  • Youth Workers
  •  Mentors
  •  Sports Coaches 

About the Role: 

The role of a Cover Supervisor is extremely varied. You will ultimately cover for absent teachers within a Secondary School setting across a number of different subject areas. You will be a dynamic and flexible individual who is able to manage behaviour effectively, whilst also building positive and long lasting relationships with both pupils and staff.

  1. Deliver and facilitate work to be completed by pupils
  2. Manage behavioral issues as they arise
  3.  Extra-curricular activities throughout the school including sport, drama, music
  4.  provide detailed feedback to the teacher to pick up upon their return to work
  5. To be considered for this position you must have the following;
  6. Be eligible to work in the UK (must have a valid visa)
  7. Hold a degree and/or minimum 20 days experience working with children
  8. Commitment to support the ethos of the school
  9.  Be confident in using ICT in their professional role

Have excellent communication skills

 Possess valid references, DBS/police checks
