ALT GRADE F: £21,748 - £23,541 full-time equivalent

(pay for this post will be pro-rata and subject to experience)

37 hours per week 

Term time (38 weeks per year) plus 5 training days 

The College seeks to appoint a Student and Family Support Worker to join our team.

The Student and Family Support Worker will provide support for young people in school as well as providing a vital link between families, the College and relevant external agencies.  

The post would suit an individual with excellent organisation and communication skills with a flexible approach towards the working day.  You will need to be well organised, able to work on your own initiative with good IT skills.  Full training and support on the school systems will be provided.

Cromwell Community College is a co-educational secondary school located in the market town of Chatteris, Cambridgeshire. It educates around 1,100 pupils aged 11-18. The school became a comprehensive in 1969 and converted to academy status in 2012. 

Over the years, Cromwell Community College has seen extensive redevelopment and modernisation, with the most recent project completed in 2012. The school has its own sixth form, with dedicated facilities and study areas for post-16 students.

Pupils enjoy a wide choice of subjects suited to their abilities and interests. The most able pupils are steered towards three sciences, humanities and foreign languages to enable more of them to gain the English Baccalaureate (EBacc) qualification. A small proportion of less-able pupils follow a curriculum matched to their needs and abilities in order to develop their literacy and numeracy, promote their social skills and study qualifications suited to the workplace.”
