We are seeking to appoint a Student Counsellor to provide a counselling service to specific students, with appropriate onward referral where longer term issues are identified.
The successful candidate will be educated to degree standard or equivalent and have BACP accreditation. You will be an excellent communicator, building effective relationships with staff, students and parents / carers and have the ability to maintain confidentiality at all times.
This is a supportive, therapeutic service where students are referred by the Director of Learning – Access & Inclusion. The successful candidate will join our Inclusion Team to provide a counselling service for the most vulnerable students aged 11 – 19, providing timely and targeted sessions to meet the needs of students.
The successful candidate will join our Inclusion Team and report to the Deputy Head Teacher and the Inclusion Manager. You will have the drive and intent to secure school improvement; have a creative and innovative approach and an ability to embrace and promote change; be enthusiastic and determined to support the school in its drive for continuous improvement.
