Here at Kingston College, we are now looking for two Student Engagement Advisors to join us; one with a focus on enrichment and the other with a focus on pastoral support.
Our Student Services Division supports students at each stage of their journey from pre-entry to post exit. Our Student Engagement Advisors provide comprehensive, responsive and flexible support in the Student Support Centre, student communal areas and at other sites. This service includes information around bursary applications, pastoral issues and programmed enrichment/Students’ Union opportunities. You will work in close liaison with staff and external organisations to signpost and safeguard students to support them in achieving their full potential.
You’ll demonstrate the ability and have experience of delivering student workshops and tutorials to a diverse range of students and have empathy when dealing with young people, particularly those that are vulnerable, and the factors that could potentially impact on student success. Knowledge of safeguarding practices, data protection regulations and referral procedures would be an advantage, as would knowledge and experience of student enrichment delivery and or supporting a caseload of students with complex needs. You will be able to work well independently and as part of a team with excellent communication and interpersonal skills to allow you to build rapport with a wide range of customers.
