Cheney School is a popular, high performing school located in the heart of Oxford serving a diverse community of students who are eager to learn. The success as a single Academy Trust is leading Cheney School to expand into a Multi Academy Trust. 

We are looking for skilled and enthusiastic Student Improvement Champion to support students from disadvantaged backgrounds who are under performing in Mathematics. This role is on a fixed-term contract until the end of the academic year.

We are looking for someone who: 

  • Has experience of working with and supporting young people with a high level of need;
  • Has a desire to promote high expectations and aspirations for young people;
  • Enjoys helping young people to overcome barriers to learning in order to raise attainment and achievement. 

Candidates must have minimum of GCSE English and Maths grades A*-C.

The position is for 35 hours per week, term-time with one additional staff training day. The position is at Grade 6 (Points 18 to 21) which attracts a salary of £15,088.66 - £16,815.46 per annum (depending on experience) based on term-time plus 1 day. The position also comes with membership of a comprehensive Healthcare Benefits Plan.
