This is an exciting time join the founding team of a brand-new school, Trinity Academy Leeds as it continues to grow and develop. Trinity Academy Leeds opened its doors in September to 240 students from across the city and has already established a strong culture of excellence where all staff are united under the same shared mission, to enrich and strengthen the life choices and chances of the young people in east Leeds and beyond.

Trinity Academy Leeds is part of a wider family of schools, Trinity Multi Academy Trust. TMAT is proud to have transformed the life chances of thousands of pupils across its existing academies, and our core values of Empathy, Honesty, Respect and Responsibility run through all aspects of academy life.  Our secondary schools consistently achieve academic results which place them in the top 10% of highest performing schools in the country and receive national and international recognition for the quality of their provision.

We are looking to recruit a committed, and proactive Student Liaison Officer to join an incredibly skilled and experienced pastoral team.

At Trinity Academy Leeds, standards are incredibly high, and every young person is guided into adopting and developing positive learning habits through a clear, robust, and consistent set of expectations from the very day that they join us. We are passionate about providing a quality of education and a climate for learning that is good enough for the children of east Leeds because it is good enough for the children in our own/extended families.

The role of Student Liaison Officer is key in establishing our culture, systems and routines, in supporting our young people in making the right choices, in working hard and in being kind; helping them to ‘Reach Higher, See Further and Shine Brighter’. If you are passionate about working with young people in an inner-city context, live and breathe high expectations and ‘go the extra mile’ to support, inspire and form relationships of mutual trust and respect with young people, then we would encourage you to apply.

These roles are suitable for people with either a teaching or non-teaching background and relevant CPD, training and opportunities to collaborate with other colleagues from across the MAT is standard practice. This is an exciting time to be part of a growing team of committed and passionate individuals who will have the opportunity to grow and develop alongside the school itself. Our founding students are also pretty incredible too!

What we need:

• Educated to degree level or equivalent relevant experience

• Experience of working with identified disaffected students, or groups of students

• Experience of working with young people with SEND or behavioural issues

• Experience of leading/supporting co-curricular activities

• Awareness of the importance of safeguarding in practice

 What we can offer:

• Full support from a dedicated team of senior leaders from around the trust

• A commitment to your development and career progression

• A range of central MAT staff benefits

You must be fully committed to optimising the opportunities that are available to children and young people, secure in the knowledge that you will be joining an ambitious, forward-thinking Academy Trust that sets the standards for our family of schools and academies.

About Trinity Academy Leeds

Due to the increased population in Leeds, particularly in young people of school age, there is a shortage of secondary school places which will last for the foreseeable future. To overcome this problem, Leeds City Council  committed to opening a new school in September 2021 and have chosen Trinity Multi Academy Trust as their preferred sponsor.

Trinity MAT is proud to have transformed the life chances of thousands of pupils across its existing academies, and we are equipped and eager to do the same for those in Leeds. Our MAT core values of Empathy, Honesty, Respect and Responsibility run through all aspects of academy life.

We welcome students of all faiths and none, these values relate to everyone regardless of faith or background.

Drawing from the success and expertise of organisations across our high performing MAT, we will ensure that children are supported both academically and pastorally to secure the brightest of futures.

Our secondary schools consistently achieve academic results which place them in the top 10% of highest performing schools in the country and receive national and international recognition for the quality of their provision.

This success will be replicated at Trinity Academy Leeds where every young person will benefit from outstanding teaching and an inspirational curriculum.

Trinity Academy Leeds is a new modern building which initially opened in September 2021 for 240 year 7 students, providing state of the art facilities to match our curriculum and ambition for young people in Leeds.
