37 hours per week - Term Time Only, plus two weeks

Our Progress Managers support particular year groups or specialist units. Each have a specific whole school responsibility too; this post is being created to support whole school alternative provision pastoral and behavioural interventions.

 

The APU at Coundon Court is designed to support and engage our students to maximise their academic and well-being potential in a theraputic and student centered environment.


All students in the APU are unique and are provided with a tailored, inclusive curriculum focusing on core subjects, interventions and well-being activities, designed to help them thrive in education and the community. Our aim is to ensure all students have solid foundations for their life long journey.

 

This is a non-teaching post dedicated to encourage our students and to ensure that they flourish in school through personalised interventions. You will have a flexible skill set, a sense of commitment to support young people combined with patience and a sense of empathy.

 

The core job purpose is outlined below.

 

JOB PURPOSE

 1.      Provide the first line of support, guidance and intervention for a student's academic and social progress within the school for students in Achieving Potential Unit/APU.

2.      Support at individual student and APU level, the whole school behaviour agenda and associated quality assurance and self-review processes.

3.      Lead on attendance and behaviour planning at individual student and APU level, providing analysis of key data and required intervention planning for students in the APU.

4.        Ensure that that the safeguarding of students is secured at individual student and APU level and provide support/intervention to reduce risk-taking behaviour in school and community.

5.      To provide tailored support, deliver academic and behaviour intervention groups to a variety of students in AP as needed.
