Chatham Grammar, part of the University of Kent Academies Trust, is seeking to appoint a Student Services and Health Lead to join their busy student services hub. This role is 30 hours per week, term-time only and is being offered on a permanent basis.
The key purpose of this role will be to provide prompt support and guidance to our students throughout the academy day, as one of the main points of contact within our Student Hub. To provide a welcoming, efficient and effective service to the students of the Academy, dealing with all students and their queries in a professional manner escalating or passing on information to relevant parties as required. Providing a first-class service to CG students in aiding them with their needs and resolving their concerns and answering their questions.
To be successful in this role you will have a professional manner, be well organised, able to work under pressure and to deadlines. You will possess well-developed administrative skills and will be able to demonstrate your experience through your application. You may already have a first aid qualification, but full first aid training will be provided. You will be confident in communicating with a variety of stakeholders which will include parent/carers, external bodies, colleagues and students. Your attention to detail will be at an advanced level as you will be responsible for keeping accurate and up-to-date medical records for students and will be dispensing medicines as required.

Where is Brompton Academy?
Set within the Garden of England, Brompton Academy is located adjacent to the Great Lines Heritage Park, which are Medway's most prominent green spaces with over 70 hectares of open space. The location of the Academy provides excellent transport links by rail to London (with the option of a high-speed service) and its main airports and is less than an hour from the main channel ports giving easy access to mainland Europe. Gillingham railway station is just a 10-15 minute walk away. The Academy also has excellent transport links by road from the M2/A2 (and has free car parking!).
Within close proximity of the Academy, there are a wide range of leisure and cultural activities. Just five minutes by car brings you to Historic Dockyard Chatham, one of Britain’s leading maritime heritage destinations where you can explore galleries and museums and enjoy a multitude of festivals and events throughout the year. The Dockside Outlet centre sports over 40 great retailers if you are interested in some retail therapy, restaurants, bars, coffee shops, gyms, hotels and a newly built Odeon Cinema.
The local area boasts great sporting facilities and the nearby Medway Park (5 minute walk) is an established sports centre with three indoor swimming pools, gym, fitness centre, sports hall and squash courts. Our Lead Sponsor, the University of Kent also offers a professional Sports Therapy Clinic at Medway Park and offers discounted rates to any BA staff.
