Croydon CollegeCroydon

2 vacancies available

Croydon College promotes a positive, student focussed and supportive culture, and you will play a key role in helping us achieve this.

We have an exciting opportunity to join our Safeguarding & Wellbeing team as a Student Support Mentor, maintaining a visible presence in key student areas and providing mentoring and wellbeing support to students who have a range of emotional or behavioural support needs that may be impacting on their potential to achieve their goals.

You will use your youth work experience to coach and engage students in activities that enhance their skills and knowledge relating to good mental health, positive attitudes, distress tolerance, effective self-management and maximise their engagement with learning opportunities.

Throughout the year you will support awareness events which embed positive wellbeing, promotion of equality and celebration of diversity into the student experience. You will be based onsite at our Croydon campus.

The successful applicant will bring energy, a positive ‘can do’ attitude, and a genuine commitment to contributing to an outstanding student experience for students at Croydon College.

In return Croydon College offers generous leave, the opportunity to join the Local Government Pension Scheme and a commitment to your continuing personal development and training in an environment that encourages excellence, creativity and diversity.
