Montsaye Academy is an ambitious and high achieving Secondary Academy judged to be ‘GOOD’ by OFSTED on their visit in January 2019.

We require a Student Welfare Officer to work as part of our student support team providing high quality care and guidance and support for families and for children experiencing behaviour and emotional difficulties.

The Academy is located in the historic Northamptonshire market town of Rothwell, easily reached from Leicestershire, Northamptonshire, Warwickshire and Bedfordshire.

The academy is a member of the Pathfinder Schools Multi-Academy Trust and collaborates closely with the Trust Central Team and its eight other schools.

The academy has developed very effective partnerships with other local secondary schools which enhances our curriculum and supports our practice.

We are fortunate to support the learning of nearly 1000 students aged between the ages of 11-18, including a vibrant Sixth Form.

Our students join us from Rothwell and Desborough and a number of neighbouring villages and towns.

We employ just over 200 staff, including 70 Teachers and Leaders and 140 Support Staff who enable our academy and pupils to thrive.

Our on-site facilities include:

• An on-site Community Sports Centre with a Sports Hall, Swimming Pool, Fitness Suite, Dance Studio, a full-size 3rd Generation Rubber Crumb all weather pitch, grass football pitches and multi-use games areas.

• Staff room and Faculty bases

• Newly renovated state of the art Science Laboratories

• Dedicated Sixth-Form Centre

• On-site staff parking

Montsaye Academy is located in the historic Northamptonshire market town of Rothwell, easily reached from Leicestershire, Northamptonshire, Warwickshire and Bedfordshire. Northamptonshire was recently placed as third in the country in the Halifax Quality of Life Survey and is one of the greenest counties in in England; with 161 parks covering 1,600 acres.

Montsaye Academy has been through a turbulent last 18 months but is going through a process of rapid improvement. The school is on an upward trajectory and has a very exciting future ahead.

The academy is a member of Pathfinder Schools with eight primaries from who we draw the majority of our cohort each year. We have other very effective partnerships with local secondary schools that also enhance our curriculum and support our practice.

Montsaye Academy is heavily invested in its staff and is proud to offer access to the following;

We are a research engaged school and our teaching and learning strategies are driven by the evidence for what works. We have a well developed CPD programme that gives teachers the opportunity to gain the following accredited qualifications:

• MA in Education

• National Professional Qualification for Middle Leaders

• National Professional Qualification for Senior Leaders

• We are also supporting teachers to complete PhDs in Education

At Montsaye we offer a broad, balanced curriculum, enhanced by our extracurricular provision, through which we aim to support students to develop a keen interest in learning, enhancing their basic skills of communication and literacy as well as exploring particular strengths and interests.
