Mander Portman Woodward (MPW) was founded in 1973 and is one of London’s best known independent colleges. Situated in South Kensington, the college is fully co-educational and accepts over 600 students each year. Students are prepared for GCSE, A level, university and Oxbridge Entrance. In its October 2013 ISI inspection report, the college was judged as excellent in all eight areas assessed.
MPW London is looking to appoint a suitably qualified graduate to join our London college this September. The successful candidate will need to have experience of working with young people and be passionate about improving their education.
As a Study Supervisor, you will play a key role in motivating and supporting students including the facilitation of learning using a range of resources. You will also provide assistance with homework and revision and regulation of student behaviour within the learning space.
Exceptional organisational and communication skills are fundamental for this role. The ability to engage with young people in order to guide their studies, even in unfamiliar subjects, is also essential.

About Mander Portman Woodward
Mander Portman Woodward London, commonly referred to as MPW, is one of a group of independent colleges providing GCSE and A-level education for 14- to 20-year-olds. The other mixed, non-denominational colleges are located in Birmingham and Cambridge.
The school was established in 1973 by Robert Woodward, Rodney Portman and Nicholas Mander, which is where MPW gets its name. In 2016, the group was sold by Levine Leichtman Capital Partners Incorporated, a Los Angeles private equity firm, to the education firm Kaplan International.

Mander Portman Woodward believes in giving students as much personal attention as possible, and ensures that there are fewer than 10 students in every class.
